In the business world of sports and entertainment, Bill Guertin is well-known as "The 800-Pound Gorilla of Sales Performance". For over 15 years, Bill has trained the ticket sales departments of dozens of teams within professional sports, including those in the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLS, Major League Baseball and many other pro sports organizations and venues throughout the US, Canada and Mexico.
Bill got his start in radio at the age of 16, becoming one of the youngest licensed radio broadcasters in the state of Illinois. He moved to the business side of radio at 21, and enjoyed a 25-year career in broadcast media sales and sales management before starting out on his own as a speaker and trainer.
Today, Bill's list of blue chip clients include the Boston Red Sox, Carolina Panthers, Chicago White Sox, Orlando City Soccer Club, and many other sports organizations. He has two published books to his credit in sales and marketing, and has been a featured speaker at nearly every major sports conference in the nation, including the National Sports Forum, the Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD), and the Baseball Winter Meetings.
“Poised, electrifying, and charismatic, Bill Guertin sure knows how to move an audience! Bill presented an inspiring welcome address to our hundreds of ticketing executives at our three-day conference. Not only was his address rated among the top events of the conference, his book has recently become a must-read for my own staff. I would highly recommend Bill as a guest speaker to any event or organization looking to inspire their people and help them get that edge to succeed.”
